SPRING NEWSLETTER

(March 10, 2010)
Hi everyone,
Things have been a bit hectic what with one thing and another and what with the cold winter we have all been experiencing it has been a bit difficult trying to keep up to date with everything.

I have put in the events section the next workshops coming up between now and June and you will see that I have put another all day workshop on a Sunday (2nd May) and am starting to do some afternoon workshops at my own home.  Take a look at what's coming up - pictures to follow so you can see what it is we are making - Book now to avoid disappointment.

I am really looking forward to the lighter evenings because our workshops at The Horsebridge between 6-9pm have the added bonus of us being able to see the fabulous sunsets.  A real inspiration for creativity.

I am still working of getting the shop up and running so, as they say, watch this space.

Gill's Bead Bar has got off to a good start and my aim is to source some "different" beads and components at each Fair.  Coming up at the next one, 3rd April (Easter Saturday) are some Cloisonne and Mother of Pearl Seahorses, some gemstone pendants (crosses and horns), and I have a lovely range of metal charms in hearts, shoes, anchors, cats and a lot more.  And that's just for starters!  Sam, who makes her own wonderful range of glass beads is busy making a range for us to drool over.  Come along and visit the fair which has loads of bargains in the Vintage mode, clothes, homeware, haberdashery (I love that word!) and seaside chic.

Don't forget that we do Children's Birthday Parties, which are really popular.  We bring along a huge stash of beads and the components for the children to make a lovely "designer" bracelet.  Great fun and very creative.  Ring to ask for more details.

Our bead club - Bead n Banter is great fun and a must for all avid beaders.  Come along on the first Wednesday of each month - you will have your own space to bead, chat and have a cuppa with like-minded friends.  It is very much "your" club so the committee are anxious to get your views, so come along and see what you think.  Let us know what you want from a club like this.  Next meeting 7th April 6-9pm at The Horsebridge, Whitstable.

We are arranging a trip to the Bead Fair at Sandown on the 17th April - if you want to join us you need to let us know by the 16th March.  The Fair from Tesco at Whitstable in a coach and the entrance to the Fair will cost no more than £25 - less the more we get.  It's a great day out and a pure indulgence for us beaders.

I am in the process of putting a book together of my patterns.  Book One will contain 12 patterns from the workshops that I have been running, so if you missed any, this may be a good chance to catch up.

Anyway, that's all for now - if you want more details of anything above, just give me a call or email me - 01227 273524, jill.goldfinch@btinternet.com

Kind regards Gill
